Aunt Concertina & her niece Evalina is a children's picture book written by Paula Green and illustrated by John Leech Gallery artist Michael Hight.

The story follows the characters of Aunt Concertina and Evalina, her niece, as they travel throughout the world with a magical kite. They reach the hottest and coldest environments and the most and least densely populated places on earth and see amazing sites all gloriously crafted by Hight's brush.

Green mixes poetry and prose to engage the reader and keep interest. This unusual mix of writing styles suits the storyline and is beautifully matched by humourous and beautiful illustrations by Michael Hight. The books are sold at Parsons Bookshop.

Hight, known for his paintings and prints featuring beehives, has created another world for the reader to dive into. The mix of vibrant text and imagery makes for a full storytelling experience.

The illustrations are from original paintings by Hight, six of which have been turned into limited edition prints, pigments inks on Hahnemuhle Photo rag paper. Each of the six prints, measuring 405 x 610 mm, is in an editon of 25. All will be hand signed by the artist and are available at $495.00 each.
